Picture Day

Today our friend Susan Young did a photo shoot of over 100 pictures for us! It took place this morning at the Lexington Cemetery. Thanks to her patience and expertise, they turned out great! We are so happy with them, and we're posting a couple of them here.

This week we discovered that little Drew loves to eat big people food much more than babyfood. Who could blame him? The pediatrician said to feed him more and more table food, so we are trying. It turns out he loves everything he tries, including salmon, tofu, Chinese dumplings, spinach-garlic-mushroom pizza, guacamole, and a spicy Korean rice dish called Bi Bim Bop! Strong tastes really seem to turn him on. More evidence that he fits right in with the two of us. :)

Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary today by going out to Panda Cuisine. Drew was a very good boy, and the waitress really enjoyed him. She said he "is a very good looking boy!" She also tried to teach him a little Mandarin Chinese. Drew fell asleep on the way home. Daddy carried him in, and they both took a little nap.

This was a very special anniversary for us, as it is our first one as parents. We are truly blessed to have him.

What's So Funny?

Who knew that a popping sound could be so hilarious?

Happy Father's Day!

Today was David's first Father's Day! Hurray! Drew set his internal alarm to make sure he woke up at 1:30 am so he could be the first one to wish his daddy a happy Father's Day. What a good boy! We celebrated with some new clothes, a photo card from Meijer, and dinner at Qdoba, one of David's favorite places. Attached is a picture from after mass, in which Andrew is making a kissy face, and a picture of him laughing and showing off his new top teeth.

Busia and Karen Visit

We had a big time with Busia and Karen visiting! David was out of town at a training, so the girls came to stay with me. I thought Drew would be a little apprehensive, but not to worry! As soon as he saw them, he was ready to party.

This Past Weekend

Andrew had a pretty busy weekend. On Saturday, he went to a birthday party (pictured are Kelsey, Addi (birthday girl), and Liam). David spent time at the party playing with his other favorite boy, Max (picture).

We went to church that evening. Andrew enjoys church. He is so comfortable, that he has begun yelling during the mass! On Saturday, toward the end of mass, and to the delight of the parishioners, he started yelling, "God!" An old woman came over after mass and said, "Maybe he will be a priest one day." Let's hope.

It's been really humid the past couple of days. We've taken Andrew out, but for shorter periods than normal. He has spent a lot of time indoors, looking outside (picture). This has become one of his favorite things to do.

He has also enjoyed his new Pororo DVDs (Thanks, Kim). He sits in his chair and enjoys his programs. At certain parts (i.e. when a polar bear is dusting his wall photos), he laughs and laughs (picture). We love to watch him watch the cartoon. We only wish we knew what he was thinking.

He can say Daddy

Listen to Drew say Daddy! Today we had a play date with the Meadowthorpe Mamas at the local park. We met a lady from Shanghai who had two daughters. I think Drew was hitting on the younger one.

Sorry the video is sideways. We are still learning the camera!
